Water is a crucial and increasingly limited resource.

Access to fresh water will soon be one of the European biggest environmental challenges.

As the world's population continues to grow, the need for water also rises. This issue is not confined to a specific region; it affects our continent as well. In the summer of 2022, Europe experienced the most severe droughts in half a millennium. Nearly two-thirds of European citizens view water quality and quantity in their respective countries as significant concerns. Climate change will exacerbate the challenges related to water, impacting its availability, quality, and quantity. Without taking action, water scarcity and poverty could affect larger portions of societies worldwide, leading to significant consequences for food security, the environment, human well-being, and the stability of economies.
